About Me
I am a consumer and corporate communications executive with more than 20 years’ experience working on behalf of globally recognized brands across a vast array of industries and demographics.
My career has seen me escort a pair of penguins down the red carpet, plan an event for Wounded Warriors at Walter Reed Medical Center, coordinate a film shoot from six time zones away, handle and pre-empt countless crises, and more. I have been continually recognized for my creativity, professionalism, relationship-building, writing skills, and for developing far-reaching, strategic campaigns.
Currently, I serve as an Account Director for Mark Allen & Co. Public Relations, handling media relations, thought leadership, strategy, and client relations for accounts that include the community engagement platform OpenWeb, James Beard-winning Chef Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group, Ruckus Marketing, and 145-year-old craft company Lion Brand Yarn.
Previously, I was Vice President at the boutique agency Smithhouse Strategy, contributing to and running client accounts including The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, Apple TV+, WOW - Women Of Wrestling, Discovery+, Fuse Media, Drone Express, and more.
Prior to that engagement, I spent nine years with the Media Relations department at CBS Television, starting as a publicist and rising to Director of Communications. During that time, I worked with countless high-profile actors and producers and launched or sustained campaigns for television projects
including Person of Interest, God Friended Me, Bull, The Price is Right, and The Mentalist.
Prior to CBS, I spent five years at Hallmark Channel, starting as the assistant to the VP of Publicity and eventually receiving four promotions to become the Manager of Publicity. While there, I was an instrumental part of many campaigns, helping establish the network’s social media accounts and social strategy and contributing to the launch of what has become the network’s most-successful franchise, Countdown to Christmas.
I am a graduate of the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism, where I serve as a board member for the college’s alumni association as well as an undergraduate mentor.
